The wine tasting in February this year was big success. We had a great time, learnt (a bit!) and raised £600 for BHVH.
We blind-tasted three pairs of white and four pairs of red. As well as sourcing the wines, Nick Moakes gave us lots of interesting information about the grapes, the geography and the growers. The reds were the second half of the evening, so we can’t remember as much about those!
There were a few interesting things to nibble, to demonstrate what effect it can have on wine and to try to avoid the possibility of improvised singing and dancing. Sadly there was none!
